At Learning Seat, it’s important for us that we are continually working with the industry – and our clients! – to better develop learning and development in Australia.

We’ve been out and about at various Learning Seat and industry events over the last couple of months and will be at the upcoming 2012 AITD National Conference. See below for a round up of the events we’ve been at and what’s coming up!

Wednesday 28 March – Thursday 29 March, 2012 – National HR Summit 2012, Sydney

Learning Seat was proud to be a strategic sponsor at the 2012 National HR Summit in Sydney. Celebrating 10 years in 2012, the National HR Summit explores issues at the forefront of the HR industry, equipping delegates with a toolkit of skills and strategies to optimise people performance.

Speakers at the conference included those from Foxtel, Hilti Australia, Commonwealth Bank, Optus and Learning Seat CEO, Tim Legge.

Tim entertained the crowd as he took them on a journey through online learning, its beginnings, current state and where it is headed in the future.

Tim was even caught on camera for an impromtu interview!

 

 

Summer the guide dog also stopped by on both days to help support our drive to donate $5 to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT for every business card we received.

 

All in all we received 150 business cards so are happy to be donating $750 to Guide Dogs NSW/VIC.

 

Tuesday 3 April – Learning Seat and AITD breakfast, Perth

Learning Seat teamed up with the Australian Institute of Training & Development (AITD) in WA and will host a breakfast seminar for AITD WA members.

Chief executive, Tim Legge took audiences through a presentation that explores how e-learning has evolved over the years and where the e-learning industry will be going in the years to come.

The event was a great opportunity for training and development managers in Perth to come together, network and learn more about developments in the e-learning industry.

For many years, Learning Seat has been a platinum sponsor at the AITD’s National conference. We’re pleased to be extending this sponsorship in 2012.

AITD’s National Conference explores the latest in learning and development technology, strategy and techniques bringing together the best suppliers and experts in the industry.

Learning Seat will have a stand at the conference so if you’re around come by and meet the team. We’d love to see you.

In continuing our donation drive at these conferences, we will be donating $5 for every business card we receive to one of our non-profit clients Camp Quality.

To coincide with the launch of Learning Seat’s new Blackdot sales effectiveness training courses, director of Blackdot, Marty Nichols will also be visiting our Melbourne offices. He will discuss what differentiates high performing sales teams and organisations from core performers.
