Learning Seat was established in 2000 and has grown quickly over the past 7 years. In 2006, Learning Seat was acquired by News Limited. Our history is summarised by the following key events:
- July 2000 - Learning Seat incorporated Melbourne Australia
- January 2001 - Preliminary release of Learning Seat Compliance system
- January 2001 - First client
- March 2001 - First compliance course released
- April 2001 - AusIndustry funding for commercialisation
- September 2001 - Wins Queensland training award
- October 2001 - 1st international client
- February 2002 - 50th course released
- June 2002 - 10th client
- July 2003 - 100th course released
- October 2003 - 1st multilingual solution
- October 2004 - 50,000 Users
- November 2004 - 50th Client
- January 2005 - Brisbane Office established
- April 2005 - Sydney office established
- July 2006 - 100,000 users
- August 2006 - Acquired by News Corporation
- Mar 2007 - 100th client
Registered Training Organisation
Our experience is also underpinned by the rigour of being a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). RTOs are Government-registered organisations accredited to deliver accredited training and education services.
