This month, we’d like you to meet the person behind the curation of our library of online courses, Content & Partnerships Product Manager, Georgia Edge. With a diverse background in journalism, broadcast media and digital content creation, Georgia brings a unique perspective to the world of online learning.
“I spend much of my time examining how people consume content – digital, print, broadcast and installation. I enjoy watching trends, discussing innovations and imagining how we can converge communication methodologies across various channels.
I originally qualified as a journalist and spent time working with public broadcasters in news and current affairs. Curiosity about various forms of storytelling lead me to television production where I worked across every genre from reality, to documentary and drama.
Seeing the huge opportunity in web-based content, and with a long-standing passion for communication, content and education, I jumped into online learning feet first.
I think online learning is an industry which has gathered swell over the past decade and we’ll see crest in the decade to come. How we negotiate its place in our learning landscape will present an interesting debate and one that will mean different things to different demographics of learners. I’m also fascinated by the balance we aim to strike between producing good content, meeting client needs and making clever business decisions.
When I’m not at work I enjoy live music, bushwalking and good food and wine.”
As Learning Seat’s product manager of library content, Georgia is responsible for ensuring that our library meets the needs of our clients and delivers training in relevant topic areas in innovative and effective ways.
